  BWG Thermal Power Technology Conference

  "Because We Care"-BWGCN Corporate Social Responsible Program
    Böhler Welding Donated PCs to Local Special Education School. On June 27,2011,Jeff Lu,IT manager of Böhler Welding Group (China),together with his team,visited Suzhou Industrial Park Boai School,a school aims to help and train disabled children physically and mentally,and donated PC`s to the school,enabling it to offer more IT facilities to those kids to access the internet and to communicate with outside world. Miss Zhang,one of its young faculty,(I don`t know what this means) gave the BWG delegates a guided tour and introduced the school`s history and current situation.It started in 1998 as a small charity adopting 15 handicapped children,and now after 13 years it is running its own premises,the school has got one separate building for girls and one for boys, ventilated classrooms, kitchen,dining hall,water-treatment room,and a sizable playground,to comfortably accommodate 54 students (suffering from various forms of disability) and their needs.Special classrooms and equipment is provided for these physical impaired kids Apart from formal education, students are given some special training for physical and psychological recovery. "Helping those kids who suffer amensia or infantile autism, or physical disabilities has made me realize I have skills which I could share. At work we all speak the same technical language but here I had something more rewarding than skills",said Jeff Lu,IT manager of BWGCN.
